Where you're taking your photos plays a big role in what you will be wearing. If you are on the country side or by the beach you want to be more relaxed maybe even bare foot with your pants rolled up. If we are in an urban setting I would do more dressy. Remember to stay true to what you would noramlly wear.

Colors are everything and can make or break the photo. Stick to natural earth tones where as bright neon colors can reflect against your skin. Do versions of colors such as fuchsia pink or mustard yellow. Coordinate your colors but don't match. Stick to 3 colors and coordinate based off of those colors. Keep in mind where you location is and to not blend with your backdrop. If your surrounded by lots of greenery steer away from green tones.

If you want to add in patterns make sure only one person is wearing a pattern. If multiple people wear patterns it may clash. Sometimes patterns can be a bit distracting. Stick to solids! Small patterns and lines can distort in photos.

We are on an adventure together. Wear what you are comfortable in. If you are uncomfortable it will show in your photos. Allow room for movement. When you're trying on new clothes raise your hands above your head and make sure you can move freely. Flowy dresses are a plus for when you dance in your photos, plus it will cause beautiful movement to capture.
