Turkey: partner on the road to peace

The Middle East-North Africa region has witnessed a wide range of humanitarian challenges over the past decade, with the most recent cases of civil unrest in Iraq and Syria producing what has developed into a massive international refugee crisis. Pivotal in addressing these situations has been the help of our partners in the region, with Turkey proving itself as a devoted and capable nation in terms of its hosting of over 3 million Syrian refugees and providing millions of dollars in foreign aid to other struggling countries.

Students Organize for Syria at the University of Michigan is honored to host the Consul General and Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Turkey to conduct an informational panel on these developments. Please join us for an enlightening, constructive evening as our panelists discuss Turkey's efforts in working towards attaining regional stability amid dire humanitarian conditions and a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape.
