6th grade ELA M-STEP testing is now finished. Next week, 6th grade Math M-STEP, 7th grade ELA and Science M-STEP tests will take place. All 6th and 7th graders need to have their iPads fully-charged at school every day next week!

Staff Appreciation - Thank You PTO

This week was a great and busy week at Smith. A special thank you to our Smith parents who honored the entire staff with notes of encouragement, Hollywood-themed decorations, delicious food and snacks, and gift cards. Thank you to organizers, Denise Wilkins and Michelle Ran, for their time and energy into making the week special for the staff.

Congratulations to the Smith Science Olympiad team who placed 3rd in the State of Michigan competition this past weekend, narrowly missing 2nd place and qualifying for Nationals. This is a huge accomplishment and a finish to be proud of for all involved!
Smith's Chamber & Advanced Orchestras sounded incredible at Thursday's Festival of Orchedtras. Congrats to Mrs Murphy and Mr Kolk for your leadership with the strings program!

8th Gr DC Trip Registration

Relay for Life Gearing Up

The Relay For Life team is holding three fundraisers:

  • Relay Decals are $2 and can be purchased from Mrs. Trice in room 14.
  • Relay T-shirts to show our team spirit and support. If you would like to purchase a shirt, please complete the form and attach money in an envelope. Forms are due to Mr. Casko or Mrs. Trice by May 5th.
  • Relay Color Run - taking place at Smith on Tuesday, May 23, after school. Cost is $10 before May 12 or $15 after May 12. Forms can be turned in to Mrs. Casko or Mrs. Trice.

Athens - Ford Drive 4UR School

The Athens PTO is proud to partner with Elder Ford to sponsor this event from 8:30AM - 8:00PM at Athens High School, 4333 John R., Troy, MI 48085 on Friday, May 19. Each test driver earns the school $20. (Closed for Dismissal 1:45-2:30pm)
