ADVENT WEEK 4 Being Kind to Ourselves

God of all people, sometimes it is hard to trust that you are at work in my life, that you are truly coming into my life in each and every moment of each and every day. I pray for the grace that I may trust you. And that I may see you more clearly today, tomorrow and as I welcome Christ anew into my life this Christmas. Amen.

Patient Trust - Part 4

We continue our prayerful reflection on the poem by Teilhard de Chardin, SJ.

Give Our Lord the benefit of believing that his hand is leading you, and accept the anxiety of feeling yourself in suspense and incomplete.

Trust in our God who wants us to meet our full human potential. You are worth it; humanity is worth it.

Scripture: Isaiah 7:10 – 14
The LORD spoke to Ahaz, saying: Ask for a sign from the LORD, your God; let it be deep as the netherworld, or high as the sky! But Ahaz answered, "I will not ask! I will not tempt the LORD!" Then Isaiah said: Listen, O house of David! Is it not enough for you to weary people, must you also weary my God? Therefore the Lord himself will give you this sign: the virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall name him Emmanuel.
