MyWVC PORTAL IS GOING AWAY! Well, kind of. Keep scrolling to find out more.

Introducing MyWVC 2.0

MyWVC 2.0 is the new modern and easy-to-use student portal. It is replacing the old MyWVC portal on Feb. 22. You might hear it called ctcLink. More on that in a sec.

Everything in one place

MyWVC 2.0 lets you manage classes, check your progress toward a degree, communicate with the financial aid department, request academic records, and more.

You'll still find it in the same place, in the upper right hand corner of wvc.edu:

Wait, so what is ctcLink?

ctcLink is kind of like the computer brain behind WVC. It's the online system all the departments at the college will use to make registration, admissions, financial aid, cashiering and more work smoothly. ctcLink is the reason for the new MyWVC 2.0 portal.

Fun Fact:

The online system ctcLink is replacing is over 40 years old. About the average lifespan of a chimpanzee.

Get started.

MyWVC portal will switch over the newer MyWVC 2.0 on Feb. 22. Before then you should:

  • Take the free Canvas course (CS100 Student Self Service) on your WVC Canvas account to learn more about ctcLink
  • Make sure you know your current student ID (this will make switching to the new portal easier!)

BTW, you're getting a new student ID number

Your current nine digit Student ID (starting with 905) will be replaced with a new ctcLink ID. You will use this ID number for everything you would normally use your student ID for.

You will get your new student ID number when you first activate your ctcLink/MyWVC 2.0 account on Feb. 22. Be sure to write it down!

Starting spring quarter 2021, new students will only receive one ID number.

Ready to register for classes in spring?

The spring quarter tuition deadline is March 26, 2021. Current students can begin registering as soon as March 1. You will need your NEW ctcLink student ID to register for classes.

MyWVC 2.0 will be available to all students on Feb. 22. Sign into MyWVC 2.0 as soon as you can to get your new ID. Be sure to write it down! Click here for instructions on how to activate your account and get your new ID.

Be patient.

ctcLink and MyWVC 2.0 are BIG changes for the college. Many departments will have huge workloads and might not be able to respond quickly to calls and emails. Here are some resources for you while we are making the switch:

  • Visit wvc.edu/ctcLink - this webpage is home to all the ctcLink resources at WVC.
  • Use Live Chat on the main wvc.edu page - just click on the Otto the robot icon in the bottom right hand corner.

Thanks for watching! We hope you love MyWVC 2.0
