FBC Youth of Coldwater May 2019

Greetings FBC youth & parents!

I was reading a devotional this morning and thought it would be a good one to share with you. It comes from the book Daily Light by Bagster & Lotz, and is comprised entirely of scripture. With such busy lives, I hope that the topic of peace speaks to the burdens you carry!

The fruit of the Spirit is...peace.

To be spiritually minded is life and peace. God has called us to peace. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that day. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. Whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure, without fear of evil. Great peace have those who love Your law.

Rest today and this month in the peace that comes from the good news of Jesus!

On another note, we are looking for old couches that people may not want anymore. Have you seen any? If you know someone who wants to get rid or donate a couch to the youth room, we would appreciate it! You can contact me at 517.227.1286.

At FBC, we believe that communication is an important part of ministry! That is why every month I would like to send out this digital newsletter with updates from youth group, calendar events and reminders, helpful and relevant articles, etc!

Parent's Corner:

Hey Parents!

Parenting is tough. Especially today. I can't tell you the amount of conversations I have had with people about the issues with the culture, media, schools, and our current generation of youth. With all the current challenges parents are faced with, it is extremely important to be standing on what God has already said in His word, the Bible.

After all, God's word "...is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path" (Paslm 119:105).

Today, I wanted to share a wonderful resource for understanding the Bible! Its called The Bible Project.

Spring to Life Youth Rally!

Come on out to the Spring to Life youth rally at Chicago Street School in Bronson May 11th! This rally is hosted by Christian students and is for both Christian and non-Christian teens.
