TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for regarding travel?

I’m thankful for the opportunity to travel throughout the state of Michigan and our entire country to visit locations where I can take part in outdoor activities like hiking, biking and kayaking. And, I always love visiting a local craft brewery too!

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for with the upcoming year?

I am going to be very thankful when the pandemic finally passes and we can once again resume traveling freely, spending time with friends and relatives and enjoying activities in large groups like sporting events and concerts!

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for REGARDING travel?

Tourism has shown how flexible it can be, and I’m thankful for all the work that has gone into designing new strategies at the drop of a hat – all while coordinating with local organizations to make sure a destination’s experiences are safe. The sheer amount of amazing outdoor recreation adventures curated by DMOs have helped more and more people to appreciate and experience the beautiful landscape of our country.

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for at home?

I’m thankful for Zoom family game days and bake offs every week during the toughest parts of the lockdown stage that allowed us to connect, even though we were all across the US, more than we would’ve normally. I’m incredibly thankful for my home “pod”: my amazing partner in crime + my goofy dog!

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for with the upcoming year?

I’m thankful for all the hard work and dedication that has gone into making vaccines and testing them, from scientists to volunteers. The support of family, friends, and the great team at TwoSix Digital has helped to mitigate the chaos of 2020, and 2021 is looking bright!

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for REGARDING travel?

I am thankful that so many people are getting to experience the beauty of our own country for the first time this year. As the COVID-19 pandemic shut down borders, international travel lovers were forced to look to places like our state and national parks, and trade in flying for road-trips for travel.

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for AT HOME?

I am so incredibly thankful for my fiancé, Steven, who is always by my side and supportive of me, and the most wonderful cat father in the world. We’ve been together for over 6 years now, and every single day we have together is a blessing. I am so thankful that I will be marrying this man in less than a year.

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for with the upcoming year?

I am thankful for so many things leading into 2021. I am thankful that the hope of an effective vaccine and quick distribution, and I am especially thankful for what that means the future of the tourism industry. I am also very, very thankful that 2021 is not an election year.

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for REGARDING travel?

As the pandemic effected our travels this year – I’m thankful for being able to postpone our trips to 2021. Although this year we weren’t able to go far, we did travel up to Northern Michigan. I’m thankful for living in a state where there is a place to experience a variety of things.

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for AT HOME?

Although 2020 has been a winding-uphill battle, by the end of this year I will be a home-owner! This is our first home we are buying together which makes it extra exciting – and stressful. More so, I’m thankful for the health and wellness of my friends, family, and cats!

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for with the upcoming year?

The biggest thing I’m thankful for is a new year. I’m extra hopeful that the upcoming year will be better than the previous one. More so, I’m thankful for TwoSix Team to being flexible in all the curveballs that 2020 has thrown at us. As the newest member of the team, and joining right before the pandemic, I’m eager and excited to hopefully meet some clients face-to-face in 2021.

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for REGARDING travel?

The industry has endured a heck of year. I’m thankful that so many of our clients and partners have stayed safe and well. I’m thankful to be in a position where I can help provide educational opportunities to destinations and their partners to elevate their marketing efforts to not only survive, but thrive. The new “virtual” landscape has helped us reach hundreds of small businesses owners and non-profit organizations across the country. Being able to provide a solid direction and foundation to them during a rough time has been extremely rewarding. It’s great to see that so many are using this time to implement new processes, adopt new tools, and innovate their online strategies to ensure their future success.

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for AT HOME?

I’m most thankful for a healthy family and friends, a wonderful home, and being employed at TwoSix Digital where we have a tremendously talented team with leadership. It’s been a challenging year on all fronts, in different ways, but knowing that no matter where I am that I am surrounded by people who are thoughtful, compassionate, motivated and supportive means the world. In many ways the crisis has brought many people in my life closer than ever and I’m thankful for the fresh appreciation I have for those people (and creatures) that make my life a true blessing.

TwoSix: What is something you're thankful for with the upcoming year?

I’m thankful that we’re going to make it through 2020. If we can weather a storm like we did this year I feel like we’re somewhat invincible (or at least better prepared) to handle what crazy turns may be ahead of us. A lot of lessons were learned that can applied to anything that comes our way in the future. I’m looking forward to getting back to traveling again, reconnecting with friends and colleagues at events, festivals, and don’t forget those hospitality suites!

Happy Holidays!

Although this year has been challenging, the TwoSix team has a lot to be thankful for. As we near the end of the year, we're optimistic for a happy, and successful 2021.
