Apples! An orchard visit & pie baking bonanza with beaCon heights kids

Beacon Heights kids had so much fun welcoming the new season with a trip to Cook’s Apple Orchard!

It was an absolutely gorgeous fall day, and everyone enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine before heading into the trees.

Apple picking time!

All in all, it was a beautiful day full of fun and sunshine!

The next day, our third through sixth graders (and some saintly grownups) met at the church to bake THIRTY-SIX APPLE PIES! 😳

So. Many. Apples.
Peeling, peeling, chopping, chopping...
Flour flour everywhere!
Rolling, rolling, rolling....
Mixing and filling...

A huge thanks to everyone who ordered an apple pie, and to Megan Elizabeth for making all our delicious dreams come true!

Mark your calendars for our next kids event:
