Zale Auditorium House of creativity

The J hosts more than 12,000 meetings annually with Zale Auditorium being its largest indoor space.

J PeRforming Arts Space

Mainstage Shows and Performances

The J Performing Arts Space (JPAS) is a program for kids and teens ages 3- 18 years old who have an interest in the performing arts, whether it be acting, dancing, film or musical performance.

During the past five years the JPAS has grown exponentially and has changed the lives of hundreds of children. Zale Auditorium houses our programs that include private lessons, workshops, classes, summer camps, and musical and theatrical productions.

During the summer, we offer two incredible JPAS camps: "StarQuest" and "StarPower." In total, we serve more than 200 children through our major programs and camps. Our performances draw in more than 2,000 patrons annually.

Creating Community Through Creativity

These programs are designed to ignite and foster artistic expression and talent in an encouraging, safe and fun environment. Our hope is to grow our community by instilling a respect and passion for the arts and to guide kids and teens through the personal discovery of finding and developing their creative artistry.

During the past several years, Zale Auditorium has added new theatrical lighting and stage curtains, an elaborate sound system, a high-tech projector, and acoustical padding. As one of the main J destinations, keeping Zale Auditorium up to date and accessible for all to enjoy for many years to come is a community necessity!

The Zale Auditorium is one of the most sought after community spaces.

It is the home of our Dallas Jewish Film Festival, Dallas Jewish BookFest, Lieberman Family Wellness Center Lecture Series, Goldberg Early Childhood Center's Best. Date. Night. Ever. event, GECC Rosh Chodesh dinners, Hanukkah Hoopla, Maccabi launch, annual meetings, and external community events and gatherings. This space is booked all year!

J Seniors - Living Young

The Senior program has grown during the past five years from 125 participants to more than 850!

Our seniors enjoy participating in many different activities in Zale Auditorium. The acoustical padding makes the noise level more acceptable, assisting the seniors who have hearing impairments. We provide more than 120 programs per month and are still growing!

Making an Impact: Weekday Senior Lunches

The Aaron Family JCC is the only congregate meal site in the greater Dallas area that serves a kosher meal for senior adults during the week. 50 to 100 seniors attend lunch every weekday at Zale Auditorium.

In addition, on alternate Sundays we provide a senior brunch and wellness program at Zale Auditorium.

We want to thank the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas for their continued support of our Senior Community programs and especially for their generosity toward our senior meal funding.

Living Social

The J Senior Department receives multiple requests to assist other JCCs with programming design due to our reputation for providing innovative programs of excellence. Our department won the JCCA Biennial Excellence Award for Improving Seniors’ Lives in the category of Programmatic Excellence and User Engagement.

Active Living

The J is known throughout the community as being the ultimate destination for innovative senior wellness. Whether it be tai chi, chair yoga, line dancing, chair volleyball, art classes, or chorus, the J Senior program has an open door policy for seniors to engage socially and enhance their overall wellness.

Our need to build spaces to meet the demands of our community is the strongest it has ever been!
