Peer mentors serve in one section of CRJU 100 where they act as a resource, support system, and role models to new CRJU students with both in and out of the classroom experiences. Students will be expected to contribute 6-8 hours of work each week for class attendance/activities, office hours, and planning meetings.
Students receive three (3) units of criminal justice elective credits and will meet as a class five times throughout the semester. Students will also receive early registration for CRJU classes during their peer mentor semester.
- Be a CRJU major or minor
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or higher
- Completed at least 30 units
- Completed CRJU 100 with a grade of B or higher
