Welcome to Marlene's page

"It's your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you..." If you want to achieve something in life, go for it. It's never too late. I was on a journey to be a nurse a long time ago, but because of lack of motivation and will power, I quit. 10 years later, I'm trying to embark on the same journey, this time, it's not an option to quit.

I often dream of long stairs without end. I know its a fear that I need to overcome because of the new career path I have chosen to board, but every journey begins with a single step...

"The biggest obstacles in our lives are the barriers our mind creates." Every obstacle is an opportunity. Every failure must equal persistence. Success will be the result of getting to the finish line for me. Every chapter of my life have a goal and I plan to commit to what I love to do.

The sound of water is music to me. Sometimes we have to embrace the gift of serenity that the nature gives us. Going for long hikes recharges me. It puts everything to perspective. It makes me realize what is important and to not focus on the little things that really do not matter.

"The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it." If we don't challenge ourselves you won't realize what you could become. Some people would call it luck but they have no idea how hard you had to work for it. People achieve success on purpose not by luck.

There's no other way to learn the value of hard work but by working hard. I love this statement, " if you want something you've never had, you've got to do something you've never done.

"Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe." I hope I provided a little bit of motivation. I know I needed one. I loved every adventure in my life, the journey is truly what counts. It is difficult juggling 4 kids, family and work right especially when people tell you, you couldn't do it. The definition of success for me right now, is enjoying the scenery and stopping to smell the roses along the way.

The most important journey and adventure of my life is raising my family. With their love and support, I feel like I can tackle anything that life throw at me.
