Father Reynold Oliveros Honoring #HeroPriests

Father Reynold Oliveros | Our Lady of the Rosary of Calaba (Philippines)

Submitted by: Father Ramil Marcos

Anticipating the nation-wide lockdown being planned by the government, he hurriedly organized a motorcade of the Blessed Sacrament, and of the images of the parish patrons, around all 3 villages of his parish (spread through farmlands) on March 15, 2020 - to bless people and visit them; to give them hope in the midst of their fears; to show them that their shepherd is with them. His visit and blessing of communities antedated European and American reports about their own priests doing the same. once the lockdown started, he immediately started online Masses, recollections, and formation sessions. He coordinated relief operations with government officials for the affected poor families of the parish. He has inspired people to continue praying, to remain united, to be calm in the midst of the storm, to help each other concretely.

Simply because he proved to be a good shepherd in the image of the Lord Jesus Christ.
