My Techno-clil Evo17 Portfolio serena gulino

Hello!! I am Serena Gulino, I am a primary school teacher from the very South of Italy. This year I will be teaching English and History in some fifth grades'. This is my second experience with Techno-clil evo and I'm very happy to be here. I love to use ICT tools for personal delight and I truly believe in it as a powerful instrument to increase pupils' motivation and to get their attention. I'm using CLIL applied to Greek History and my students are simply in love with it. I can say that their English is getting better and better, moreover I see that they are starting to be more confident about their speaking abilities.

My CLIL experience starts over a year ago when I enrolled to the Techno-clil evo16. The last edition gave me an overview of the teaching methods and approaches to the teaching/learning that I really needed. Dealing with a Mooc was not very easy, moreover the tools were totally unknown to me but I did really enjoy learning something new that, moreover, I realized it could enrich my professional development. I kept focused on my goals and I arrived till the end of the course. The following video was my very first powtoon presentation that I created last year for an eTwinning English lab with fifth grade pupils..

Thanks to the use of the social network as a means for learning through peers , I got to know eTwinning, that is the biggest European community for schools that help pupils and their teachers to be in communications in order to collaborate, develop projects and share best practices. By chance, two or three days after, I joined a Technoclil-Evo16 webinar held by the Italian National Unit of eTwinning.

Finally, at the following button you will find my Techno-clil evo 2017 Padlet page in order to save all the materials such as links to slides, tools that I tried and I liked to use for my professional development and for my pupils',
