Pre-K Building literacy

Pre-K students utilized visual literacy skills to select a picture book connected to their curriculum on the letter "E."

Kindergartners learned about the Brimmer Life Rules - Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Kindness. Students discussed examples of the Life Rules from the stories they listened to and posted them to the Life Rules bulletin board in the library.

Learning the Design Process

First Graders learned about the Design Process with an interactive board. Students move their names to the corresponding design step when doing a design project.

Fourth Graders read picture books and identified which brimmer life Rule the characters needed help with. The students then designed an imaginary machine that would help teach the characters the life rule.

Looking to the Future

Fifth Graders began the Design Process to 3D print locker organizers for their sixth grade year. The students drew and labeled their plan for the organizer and created a prototype out of paper.
