US and Amazon rainforest By: Sebastian Mikos

Should the United States help conserve or preserve the Amazon Rain forest?

The US should help preserve the Amazon Rain forest because more than 20% percent of the earths oxygen is produced there.

The oxygen produced in the Amazon influences all of the earth. Amazonian rainforests are the world’s biggest recycling unit for converting carbon dioxide into oxygen, with increased amount of cars, nuclear plants, airplanes the earth has more carbon dioxide that it can take in. That is why the Amazon rainforest is the "lungs of the earth" because it takes in a lot of that carbon dioxide that people produce and turn it into Oxygen something people need to survive.
