ROB DAY visual artist | shelter volunteer

I’m a professional artist, illustrator & photographer. My illustration work has appeared in many publications across the U.S. including Sports Illustrated, Rolling Stone, Time, GQ, WIRED, and Esquire. I’m also a volunteer in the animal welfare community where I enjoy using my talents in the visual arts to help bring awareness to shelter pets & community cat programs. I'm an artist member of HeARTs Speak, a nationally recognized 501c3 nonprofit organization that’s uniting art and advocacy to increase the visibility of shelter animals. Below is just a sampling of my work.

(Above) Slideshow of a recent visit to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals in the country and animal rescue and advocacy organization, with spay neuter, TNR (trap neuter return), pet adoption and no-kill programs.

The illustrations of ear tipped cats (above & below) were painted for fund raising calendars for IndyFeral, an organization created as a means of changing the way stray and feral cats are viewed and handled in Indianapolis. The illustrations are oil on panel and the calendar projects were each awarded a Muse Medallion of Excellence from the Cat Writers' Association.
