Reflective Journal Week 8

This week our topic of study has been "Transfer Students". It si a smart movement when students decide to go to a community college first, earn an associate degree, and transfer to a four years institution to earn a Bachelors degree. Students save money and have two degrees.

When students transfer to another institution having a degree the have the opportunity to find better job and start building their experience in the field of interest.

Community colleges and four-year institutions are making alliances in order to provide an easy transfer process to students. Departments as college life, advising and transfer and career development play a strategic role in the transition from one university to another and to the student's success, including the opportunities to find a job or internships, scholarships, and grants.

The video below describes some important fact and recommendations for transfer students.

“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” – Colin Powell
“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” – Winston Churchill
