UNH Women's Soccer - 2019 Freshman Class The Wildcats ink five new additions to the 2019 roster.

University of New Hampshire women’s soccer coach Steve Welham has signed five new incoming freshmen to the 2019 roster, for the upcoming season just one short month away.

The five incoming freshmen look to replenish the roster that lost five players due to graduation, but returns 10 seniors which include last season’s leading goal scorers Ally Reynolds (Weymouth, Mass.) and Kaylan Williams (Marion, Ind.)

“Overall, we are very happy with this incoming class. We know it will add strength to our team in a multitude of positions and continue the strong culture and foundations we have been putting in place. We are looking forward to the upcoming season and the contributions of our team and especially this freshman group." -- Head Coach Steve Welham

The Wildcats are coming off a season in which they made their 5th straight playoff appearance and first winning road-game record since the 2014 season; the season also included their first win in the modern era over a power-five conference opponent. Read more on the 2018 campaign here.

With the regular season just a short month away, meet the newest Wildcats who will don the UNH kit and compete for another America East championship!

Bethany Bussey

Coach Welham on Bussey: “Bethany is a hardworking and gritty player. She gives maximum effort and is a very competitive individual on and off the field….she will be a solid addition to our backline.”

Bethany Dunk

Coach Welham on Dunk: “Bethany is a very good shot stopper and possesses great natural ability to play in goal. She is calm and consistent in net and leads by example. We are very excited to have her as she will add strength and depth to our goalkeeping core.”

Rachel Hollywood

Coach Welham on Hollywood: “Athletic, technical and dynamic would be the words that come to mind when I watch Rachel play. She also has the ability to play in a variety of positions…she has an aerial presence as well as the ability to the play the final pass and sees the game very well.”

Shayna Salis

Coach Welham on Salis: “Shayna is a dynamic and clever player with great versatility. She can play central or outside on the flank offering speed, quickness, movement off the ball and the ability to go 1v1 against the opponent.”

Whitney Wiley

Coach Welham on Wiley: “Whitney is a very creative and technical player with a high soccer IQ. She has a knack for scoring goals along with finding the final pass. Whitney is two footed and has wonderful vision of the field…we look forward to seeing her influence games.”
