Band Picture Day

Next Saturday, November 14th, we will have individual pictures taken professionally of all Prosper Band Members. Individual pictures will used to create section and full band composite pictures and included in this year's band yearbook, along with the school yearbook, advertising, media postings, etc. In addition, all seniors will be taking multiple pictures for a special feature in this year's band yearbook.

All pictures will be taken professionally by Cedarbrook Media Group and will be made available to purchase directly through their website for those interested. We will be releasing purchasing information soon.

The schedule for pictures is as follows:

Flutes & Clarinets: 9am

Alto Saxes & Low Reeds: 9:30am

Percussion: 10am

Trumpets: 10:30am

Horn & T-Bone: 11am

Tubas & Baritones: 11:30am

Color Guard: 12:00pm

Students should also arrive at PHS in full uniform and they will need their instrument/flag for the picture. The process should go very quickly as long as we stay on schedule, so please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time.

If you cannot make your designated time, then please choose a time listed when you can. We will also have an alternative date set later on for those that will be unable to make it; however, it is important that we take as many pictures on Saturday as possible.

All-Region/All-State Auditions

The window for online submissions for All-Region is soon approaching. This year due to COVID restrictions, all auditions will be submitted online through the Music First online application. Directors will be submitting and verifying student names and audition instrument this week in class.

Email links containing your individual log-in information have been sent to all confirmed applicants. Please look for an email sent by Mr. Dugger sent on Wednesday.

The process for submission is as follows:

Students will be given online access to upload their submissions from Saturday, November 7th beginning at 10:00am through Wednesday, November 11th at 11:59pm. The online application adopted by TMEA is Music First. Students will be able to change their submissions during the open window time; however, their submissions will be locked in after 11:59pm on November 11th. NO EXCEPTIONS.

The judging process will occur through the weekend of November 14th and results should be made available the next week (week of November 16th).

Phase 1 Cuts are available here and on each student's Band Google Classroom.

Recordings cannot be "banked" to pick the best recording when listening side-by-side. However, students have an unlimited number of submission opportunities through the open submission window (we will discuss more about this in class this week).

Students MUST use either the online web based version of Music First or through an iPhone or iPad. If using the web based program, students must use Chrome to access. If using an iOS device, students MUST download the free Music First application on their iOS device (version 1.42).

Phase 1 instruments that will be submitting beginning November 7th through the 11th: Flute, Bb Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba & Percussion
