Biography: Christopher Columbus was a famous explorer and navigator who was born in Genoa, Italy in 1451, on the date October 31, 1451. Christopher Columbus died on May 20, 1506 in Vallidolid, Crown of Castle. The date that Christopher set of to sea with his three ships was 1492. He is credited to be the explorer to "open" the Americas to the European colony.

Importance to Society: Columbus was a renaissance man because he believed in good education, philosophy, a exploration. When Columbus was youn, He would read and study philosophy and go on adventures/explorations
