Ode to the Sun By A.G.w

Oh sunshine,

How I’ve missed you!

How your long, yellow arms

always reached out to me,

wrapping me in a

blanket of warmth.

How your bright smile

lit up the world around me.

I’ve missed my friend the sun.

And how you swept away all the clouds

and left me in awe by

painting the sky after lifetime of rain.

Although it seems strange,

I even missed how you would

keep me up until late

and wake me early in the morning.

I’ve missed my friend the sun.

But above all,

Above the hugs

and above the smiles,

I’ve missed how

you’ve helped us all grow.

From your friend the flower,

I’ve missed my friend the sun.
