Baked Ziti By Isabel Armas



  • 1lb of ziti
  • 1lb of ricotta cheese
  • 16 ounces of marinara sauce
  • 1lb of turkey meet
  • ½ medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 egg
  • Quarter cup of parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella
  • 8 slices of mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoons of salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 5 sprigs of parsley
  • 4 sliced basil leaves


  1. Boil the pasta in salted water for 7 mins of medium heat.
  2. Brown the turkey meat in the olive oil, garlic, and onions in a frying pan over medium heat; drain fat
  3. Mix ricotta, one egg, parsley, and salt and pepper in a mixing bowl
  4. Warm the sauce in a medium size pan and add the turkey mixture to it.
  5. Strain the pasta
  6. In a glass baking dish combine the pasta, ricotta mixture,the sauce, and the turkey and stir well
  7. Add the shredded mozzarella and the parmesan and continue to stir
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
  9. Remove tray from oven, and lay the sliced mozzarella on the surface, with the basil leaves on top
  10. Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
