  1. What are you most excited for this year? “Seeing my former artists and seeing how much they’ve grown. I’m also excited about being a coach.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why?“I’m passionate about creativity. That’s my life, whether its me trying to force a kid to be creative and try to get it out of them or just watching a kid look at trash and being like ‘ooh I can do this with it.’ Yeah, go, make it into something.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why?“I’m a mama bear, not that I attack people, but I’m protective.”

Victor Bush

Victor Bush – 11th Grade Assistant Principal
  1. What are you most excited for this year? “Just an opportunity to make a positive impact at Lawrence North and being a part of the Lawrence North Family again as a 1989 graduate. It’s a lot of fun to be back at your alma mater and have an opportunity for a different perspective.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “I’m most passionate about student achievement and providing students with opportunities outside their communities, outside of school, to dream and be whatever they want to be, just to make great things happen for the students and staff that I serve. As a servant leader it’s really important for me to be on a mission on a daily basis. I don’t see this as a job, but as a mission.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why? “A lion because I see them as providers for their families, they take care of their families and have a presence.”

Enrique Diez

Enrique Diez – Room 323 – Spanish/Immersion Teacher
  1. What are you most excited for this year? “Well I’m from Europe so this is a challenge for me because it’s the first time I’m teaching in the United States. So to express my culture and to teach the students my culture and language is the most rewarding experience.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “To be more involved with the culture in the United States.”
  3. What college did you go to? UCLA (Also Sevilla, Andalucia)
  4. What animal best represents you and why? “An eagle because of freedom.”

Alexander Entin

Alexander Entin – Room 159 -Percussion Director
  1. What are you most excited for this year? “To get to work with a couple people I already know. I know that this is a great music program so I’m excited to work with something up and going and want to try to make it better. Building on the program we already have here is the most exciting part.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “Two of my passions are music and teaching. I’m also passionate about family. I have two kids.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why? “A water buffalo because they just seem strong. They can go anywhere or do anything.”

Sawsan Farag

Sawsan Farag – Room 120 - Math Teacher
  1. What are you most excited for this year? “That I’m teaching Calculus here, and I taught Calculus before, but my class only had six kids. Now I have 38. I’m really serious about making sure they all get what they need here in my classroom.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “I’m passionate about teaching math. I like being a teacher. It started from being a tutor for my own children.”
  3. What college did you go to? Monash University (Melbourne, Australia)
  4. What animal best represents you and why? “Dogs. I love dogs.”

Chandra Ferry

Chandra Ferry – Room 144 – Practical Arts Teacher
  1. What are you most excited for this year? “I’m so excited to have my own room. I taught it last year, but now I get to do all my own things, get to intensify the kids more, it’s more structured by me and I like that.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “I am super passionate about the kids succeeding. It’s so important to me. I truly care and I want people to succeed.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why? “A Dolphin because they’re smart and free. Dolphins are a beautiful animal.”

Whitney Greenwade

Whitney Greenwade – Room 218 – G1/R5 - Exceptional Learners Teacher
  1. What are you most excited for this year? “I’m really excited to get to know my students. I love working with my students and working with them outside of the classroom.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “Taking care of my one year old daughter, Kennedy.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why? “A cat because I’m shy at first and weary of new people and new surroundings, but if you feed me I’ll come back.”

  1. What are you most excited for this year? “Seeing the students’ growth at the end of the year.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “Watching the evolution of students and their intellectual maturity as well as being a mentor.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why? “A lion because it’s the king of the jungle.”

Ella Hereth

Ella Hereth – Room 211 – Math Teacher
  1. What are you most excited for this year? “I love teaching Algebra 1 and I haven’t taught it in a long time so I just really like the content.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “I like thinking about how the brain learns math and helping students who don’t feel comfortable with math, feel more comfortable. Other than that I’m pretty passionate about my two little kids.”
  3. What college did you go to? University of Chicago
  4. What animal best represents you and why? “Elephants because they’re slow and steady I’m not the first person in any race,whether it’s physical or academic, but I always just keep going and I get there in the end, eventually.”

Jennifer Jansen

Jennifer Jansen – New Performing Arts Assistant
  1. What are you most excited for this year? “Just getting to be a part of everything here and I actually went to high school here so it’s nice to be back and be a part of everything in performing arts again.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “The arts in general. I went to school for visual arts. I like being a part of it and I’m glad my job allows me to do that.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why? “A dog because I like dogs.”

  1. What are you most excited for this year? “Getting to know Lawrence North better. I grew up around here and didn’t go to LN, but I had friends who went here, so I’m excited to experience LN and everything my friends talked about.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “Becoming better people. Citizenship and how even in a small way we can impact the world around us.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why? “A giraffe because they are tall and awkward and as a kid I was super tall and kind of clumsy.”

  1. What are you most excited for this year? “Getting to know the students and faculty this year and being a part of the activities here at Lawrence North.
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “I’m most passionate about getting kids to succeed. In math sometimes it’s a struggle for them to understand curriculum, but I want them to succeed and do their best.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why? “A dog, I love dogs and they’re caring and loving. They’re fun to be around.”

  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “Working on classic cars because that’s something my dad did growing up, so I have a couple I’m working on right now.”

Carla Redden

  1. What are you most excited for this year? “The curriculum and being able to interact with students in a way that gets students excited about what they’re learning about.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “Gardening I have a whole row of peach trees, cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes and an herb garden. I have been gardening since I was a child with my parents. Being outside is what got me interested in science.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why? “A swan. Swans are calm and tranquil.”

John Sala

John Sala – Room 108 – English Teacher
  1. What are you most excited for this year? “Everything. This is a new experience for me at this level and this subject matter, also the coaching aspect of it. So far it’s been great, but I’m excited to see where the year leads me.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “My family, my two boys and my wife. Whatever brings me closer to them or being a better husband or dad I try to do.”
  3. What college did you go to? Eastern Illinois University and Iowa State University
  4. What animal best represents you and why? “Wolves because they travel in packs, but they are extremely loyal. They are passionate, intelligent and have a lot of energy. They play a lot. I love everything about wolves. I love how they act within the group and how they act by themselves. I love how loyal they are to their mates and do what they feel is right.”

Neal Titus

Neal Titus – Band Room - Band Director
  1. What are you most excited for this year? “To take the ensembles, the bands, the jazz band, the marching band and winter percussion to new heights this year.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “I write music. It was what I did before I was a teacher. I have a lot of pretty big gigs coming up.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why? “My puppy, Stu the Dog, because he’s the laziest, funniest animal ever.”

  1. What are you most excited for this year? “To be in Indianapolis. I moved here from Maryland over the summer. I’m excited for a fresh start in a new school and being involved in the community.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “Helping people. It’s why I got into teaching in the first place. I’m an Eagle Scout.”

Rick Wedlow

Rick Wedlow – Room 174B – Attendance Dean
  1. What are you most excited for this year? “To start another opportunity in public education. I’m transitioning into a new role. My past experience has been as a pathway specialist, but in this role I can make an impact on kids. The first key to success is being on time.”
  2. What are you most passionate about and why? “Making a difference in young people’s lives. I grew up without my father in my life and the projects of Gary, Indiana. The odds were against me, fortunately I had good role models, I had good coaches who took me under their wings and I shared positive experiences with. I want to be a role model and an individual students look up to. I also want to have fun everyday.”

  4. What animal best represents you and why? “German Shepherd. They’re smart dogs they’re only aggressive when they need to be.
