Last weekend, Noa, her sister (Maya) went to a Purim Party in Chabad of Israel. At the party, there was a costume contest- who ever had the best and most creative costume, wins. Noa, Maya and Danielle won first place with their amazing costume and they won 4 tickets to fly to Israel.
For the ones that are interested, the story behind Purim is that Haman, royal vizier to King Achashverosh, planned to kill all the Jews in the empire, but his plans were foiled by Mordecai and his cousin and adopted daughter Esther, who had risen to become Queen of Persia.
During Purim, you eat triangular pastries filled with chocolate and you give people food packages with all kinds of candy and chocolate, sometimes with games and masks.
