Interphase

Whats is mitosis? Mitosis is the process of cell division. The process mitosis has 4 stages but their is one more stage that that prepares for mitosis. The stage that prepares for mitosis is called Interphase. Interphase is the time when the DNA in the nucleus is copied so the two new cells will have the same DNA. The first Stage of mitosis is the prophase. Prophase is the first stage of cell division. When prophase starts the nucleus disappears. When this happens you could see the chromosomes become visible. The next stage in mitosis is metaphase. The stage known as metaphase is when the chromosomes are at their second-most condensed and coiled stage. This stage separates the chromosomes by the spindle fibers. spindle fibers are involved in moving and segregating the chromosomes during cellular division. The next step of mitosis is antiphase. antiphase is when the chromosomes are moved to the sides of the cell.
