A Bold Future Awaits

District Council #4 Painters and Allied Trades knows what it takes to stay ahead in our industries.

Training

Training is a key ingredient to the success of our members and contractors. All of our training is free to our contractors. Whether we instruct the training at one of our locations, or at your shop, we will be ready to supply the certifications and skills needed.

More Training

Check out these photos of our training centers! We also recently purchased another training center in Cortland NY. All or our apprentices go through a 3-4 year Department of Labor registered training program at these locations.

This is a bridge in our training center with complete decking and containment to train all facets of Industrial Painting.
Here is a classroom that we use for computer based learning and in-person learning.
This is a glazing mock-up for glaziers where they can learn many of the skills needed for the glazing trade.
Here is a mock-up that drywall finishers, painters and glaziers can perfect skills on.

Savings

Here are some ways that affiliated contractors save:

  • Our contractors save 5-10% on workers compensation and payroll taxes because of our structured benefit package.
  • Our shop and recovery agreements allows you wage flexibility.
  • Utilize apprentices helps lower payroll costs.
  • DC4 health and safety classes can lower a contractors modification factor, lowering workers comp costs on all projects.
  • Affiliated contractors have a qualified workforce to choose from, picking up more employees as needed and laying off employees when they are not needed. This keeps payroll costs down during slower times yet allows contractors to bid work without worrying about not having a workforce.
No Cost

There is no cost to be an affiliated Contractor.
