Star Hampshire Traditional Music & Dance Weekend

Here are some photos from the Star Hampshire Traditional Music & Dance Weekend. The following photos were taken by Patrick Stevens and Peter Yarensky (that's me). Patrick was the founder of the dance weekend, and a great photographer. All photos are used with permission. Although Patrick is no longer around, he gave me access to many of his photos for use on the Star Hampshire web site.

Several photos are of playing music on the porch and dancing on the porch. Although we do that while waiting for the boat to take us home, it seemed like a good way to start this photo page. The silhouette is Ron Grosslein. It's one of my favorite of my own photos. I wish I could say it was deliberate, but it was really quite accidental. You'll see lots of sunsets here. Star Island seems to produce many wonderful sunsets.
A view of Portsmouth, a view of Brookfield (where we dance) from the boat, and the dock upon arrival.
Night time or nearly so. The porch is a great subject of night time photography.
Music and dance — that's one of the main reasons we're there.
But sitting on the porch and looking at all the great views is another.
The hotel.
Great concerts as well. You may recognize some of the musicians as you look through the photos. Some are quite well known; some are attending the weekend and are playing just to have fun. Needless to say the two groups overlap quite a bit.
The Chapel
I bet Patrick took these.

And that's the end of this Star Hampshire Photo Page. I'm sure there will be more.
