Easy Week Night Pasta Fussiloni with Garlic and parmesan

Often we forget how simple foods can bring about the best memories. How the smell of garlic reminds you of your granddad or the texture of pasta takes you back to being a 20 yr old college student eating over the sink in your dorm once more. I think we need MORE simplicity in our lives. Especially on a week night. And this recipe provides just that. Pasta meet garlic and parm.

This dish has just 5 ingredients and can be prepared in 10 minutes flat. How is that for the perfect week night meal?! It's bright and flavorful and offers an aroma that will make your mouth water. Here at Gerhard's Appliance, people were drifting into our Living Kitchen the moment the garlic hit the pan. I promise even your pickiest eater will want a bite! So let's begin...


16 ounces spaghetti

12-16 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves


In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions; drain well.

In a medium saucepan, combine butter, garlic and red pepper flakes over medium heat until the butter has melted. Cook, whisking constantly, until the foam subsides and the butter begins to turn a golden brown, about 4-5 minutes, skimming foam as necessary.

Remove from heat. Stir in pasta and Parmesan until well combined, about 2 minutes; season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Serve immediately, garnished with parsley, if desired.
