After breakfast at the hotel and the full day at leisure, or book the optional Athens City Tour.

OPTIONAL: Athens City Tour Depart for a half-day city tour of Athens. Head towards the Acropolis passing by from some places of interest, then visit the Acropolis including architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the Parthenon. Afterwards see some other places of interest such as Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the Presidential Palace Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games (visit included) of the modern era were held in 1896 - Visit of the New acropolis museum. You are now here in one of the worlds most historic places on the planet. The first pre-historic settlements were constructed in 3000 BC around the hill of Acropolis. Where your hotel will provide you a beautiful rooftop view. The legend says that the King of Athens, Theseus unified the ten tribes of early Athens into one kingdom (c. 1230 BC). This process of synoikismos – bringing together in one home. We want to bring you together with likeminded travelers to see this phenomenon for yourself. You can start with an up-close view with the city tour where the Greek Gods of Athens come alive when you find yourself in the very place they once stood.

Later that evening after you have taken in all that historical Greece has to offer you will have the chance to see the city from by having Dinner in the Sky.

Dinner in the Sky

After the journey ends in Athens its historical meeting with the Greek Gods of Acropolis you will look to make your way to the breathtaking city of Meteora. Here you will encounter a series of monasteries built atop large rocks. The monasteries are an operose creation of monks, and their internal beauty belies their location. Its rocks were formed some 60 million years ago, when a series of earthly movements pushed the seabed upwards. This created a high plateau with a series of fault lines. The rocks are a mixture of sandstone and conglomerate.

METEORA * day 3 AUGUST 15 (B)

After breakfast, meet your guide and transfer to the Kalambaka by coach and enjoy a trip that will give you the chance to admire the beauty of the Greek countryside. Upon your arrival in Kalambaka, our English-speaking driver will transfer you to your hotel. Today, visit 3 main monasteries of Meteora and discover the natural beauty and the cultural heritage of this area. This Meteora Half-day Sightseeing Tour will take you back to the dark ages and the story of the first hermits and monks, who laid the foundations of what later on became the monastic community of Meteora.

MONASTERIES

This area was first settled by monks around the 11th century looking for solitude and with time the concept of the monasteries grew. We want you to explore and learn more of this story once you arrive.

Grand Meteora Classic Rooms are the only ones in the area that will allow you enjoy the unobstructed view of the holy rocks of Meteora, this masterpiece of nature, which has revealed all its splendor for centuries, as it has been a geological phenomenon of unique beauty and an important monument of Orthodoxy.

MYKONOS * day 4 AUGUST 15 (B)

Depart Kalambaka for Athens in the early morning. Upon arrival in Athens, head directly to Piraeus, and embark on the hydrofoil to Mykonos. Upon arrival in Mykonos, transfer to your hotel. Overnight.

Mykonos

Are you well rested because Mykonos is the party animal of the Cycladic islands, Greece’s answer to Ibiza, with bronzed bodies thronging its beaches by day and bass lines pounding through its superclubs until dawn. But there’s more to Mykonos.

Mykonos Town is one of Mykonos’ biggest attractions along with the beaches. You can lose yourself for hours in the enchanting warren of narrow pedestrian streets bedecked with bougainvillea and lined with picture-perfect, tiny churches, restaurants and boutiques.

The shopping in Mykonos is excellent: for art, you can check out Mavrogenous street; Greek designer’s line Matogliani, while Little Venice is great for casual fashion, jewelry and quirky souvenirs.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and the morning at leisure, or book the Optional Windmill Tour. This evening, we will enjoy a cooking class followed by dinner. We plan a special itinerary that combines beautiful stories with an emphasis on the “symposium” which means original Greek ambiance with great food wine and culture of Mykonos / Cyclades islands. We selected a beautiful house in Mykonos & arranged for you the most experienced local chef. Like a great Greek meal, this tour is a long, happy, satisfying event that you'll wish would never end! Greek recipes as souvenir, wine or soft drink offered during class at your private venue.

OPTIONAL: Mykonos Windmill Tour. The whitewashed windmills lined up on a hill overlooking Mykonos Town are a signature island sight. Capped with wood and straw, the 3-story conical windmills were built in the 16th century to mill flour. Out of the 16 preserved windmills on the island, seven are found in the area of Kato Mili overlooking the Chora Mykonos harbour.

MYKONOS * DAY 7 AUGUST 18 (B,D)

After breakfast, transfer to port in order to embark on hydrofoil with destination the island of Santorini. The remainder of your day is at leisure. In the evening, you will enjoy a Private Greek Night with plate smashing, traditional fire dancing and dinner.

SANTORINI * day 8 AUGUST 19 (B)

Arguably the most famous of the Greek islands, Santorini is instantly takes your breath away the moment your ferry arrives at the port. The enormous limestone formations makes you feel that you have arrived where the earth us king. Santorini undoubtable landscape is recognizable for its whitewashed, cube-shaped buildings adorned with blue accents, steep cliffs and tangerine sunsets that light up the sky and sea. On a portion of Santorini island in the city of Oia, you will see why so many yearn to see the sunset from the Greek caldera.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and some free time in the morning. Around 11 am, meet your guide and head south to Megalochori, a traditional village in the heart of wine country. Start at Boutari Winery, where guided tours in English end with a five-wine tasting. Nearby at Gavalas Winery the owners—heirs to a family tradition dating back four generations—lead their own tours. Join the Gavalas family to participate in the traditional foot-stomping of fresh-picked grapes. Finally, head east to Art Space Winery, in the little town of Exo Gonia. Its cave cellars, carved into the pumice rock, double as a museum on the history of winemaking and as art galleries curated by winery owner Antonis Argyros. Return to your hotel with the remainder of your day at leisure.

Follow in the footsteps of long-ago Minoan kings at the archaeological site of the Minoan Palace of Knossos, and tour the remains dating to the 2nd century BC. Explore what were the royal quarters, storerooms and central court of the palace, the power base of Europe’s first civilization; and hear about the mythical Minotaur that roamed a labyrinth here as your guide explains the site’s history. Finish with free time for lunch and a coach tour of Crete’s capital, Heraklion. Return to your hotel.
