Counseling Wanted The need of a Counselor-led support group at Liberty University

Young adults who come from a broken family experience much more hardship and stress than the average college student.

Internal struggles such as anxiety and depression make concentrating on homework harder for college students. First year college students of divorce are more likely to drop out than their peers.

With the help of a counselor, students are guided through their emotions and are led toward healing. This internal healing helps to clear the stress that has been getting in the way of academics.

If Liberty University included a counselor-led support group for students of divorced parents, the academic rates would increase. By adding counseling, the university is impacting not only individual lives, but the quality of the entire campus.
