How to make Pupusas By: Crystal martinez

Step 1: Make the pupusa dough. Mix the masa harina, salt and flour in a bow
Step 2: Let the dough rest.Leave your dough in the bowl and cover the bowl with a towel let it sit for 10 mins.
Step 3: Roll the dough onto balls. Note * It helps to lightly oil your hands so the dough does not stick to your hands.
Step 4: Fill the pupusas (with beans&cheese). Take a ball of dough and press your thump into the center. There should be a little indentation. Place 1 tablespoon of cheese and beans and cover the dough over it.
Step 5 : Form the filled balls into disks.
Step 6: Cook pupusas. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat.Add just a few tablespoons of oil to lightly pan. Add pupusas and cook them for 3 mins and flip them and do the same.
Step 7: Serve pupusas. Top with curtido or any sauce you like and Enjoy!! these delicious pupusas a traditional dish from El Salvador :)
