Cedar Hill Strong Grant/Loan Program promotions paused during the review period until funding announcements begin.
As the review committee decisions become public, we’ll reintroduce the “Grant/Loan Program” by providing data collected from the original survey conducted in March/April.

State Order Issued on June 19, 2020

All commercial entities in Dallas County providing goods or services directly to the public must develop and implement a health and safety policy. The Health and Safety Policy must require, at a minimum, that all employees or visitors to the commercial entity’s business premises or other facilities wear face coverings. Commercial entities must post the Health and Safety Policy required by this Executive Order in a conspicuous location sufficient to provide notice to employees and visitors of all health and safety requirements.

“Behind the Storefront”

A new initiative from the Cedar Hill Economic Development & Tourism Departments.

Purpose

Creating content in the form of article, video, and print media highlighting local attractions, visitors, retail, restaurants, industry, products, professionals, and services, that positively impact the city’s economy.

Strengthening relationships by meeting and coordinating with business operators/owners, employees, visitors, community stakeholders, investors, thought leaders, and any person(s) who advocate, sale, or inspire innovation for the community, will help frame the various features.

Reaching audiences via digital and print media to inform, educate, engage, and position Cedar Hill as a top-of-mind destination for recreation, shopping, dining, living, working, all to promote, increase and advance the community’s tourism and economic development activity.

Historic Downtown Complete Streets Study

On January 28, 2020, the City Council adopted the "Downtown Complete Streets Plan."

Construction plans for Phase I are currently under development with an anticipated construction to begin by the end of 2020.
