Influential The world of Vlogging

Long has it been since teens spent their time reading magazines or playing xbox. A new age of media and entertainment has arrived, and it is called Vlogging. The word comes from Video-Blogging, and it is essentially one person documenting different days of their lives, posting in onto youtube and becoming extremely successful because of it

From beauty to bikes, this type of entertainment appeals to many, and though still young, this global phenomenon has produced thousands of rising stars. Many vloggers, also known as influencers, have stories of how they were inspired by youtube, and it has changed their lives. One very well known lifestyle beauty vlogger, Zoe Sugg, or Zoella (her channel name) has become extremely famous because of vlogging.

Hailing from Lacock, United Kingdom, Zoe has been vlogging and posting videos of Youtube for 8 years. Over the years, she has gone on to write two books, star for television shows, and has released two makeup and lifestyle product lines.

In 2009, Zoe Sugg started her channel. She had no real expectations and was doing it mainly as a way to express her love for makeup and beauty. Little did she know, eight years later she would have upwards of 11.5 millions subscribers.

Vlogging may not seem like the most professional career choice, but for the ones who have become most successful, it has changed their lives for the better. But, How do they make money?

Well, vloggers are approached by companies everyday to promote their products in their vlogs or on social media. They also earn revenue from google ads shown on youtube. Vloggers also get paid around $2.00 for every thousand views. So for Zoella, who gets around 1 million views per video, and posts once or twice a week, each video brings in about $2,000 dollars (plus any advertisements she is doing).

As you can see, youtubers and vloggers put an immense amount of work into everyone of their videos.

Because of the type of pay they earn, vloggers are able to put their best work out with each and every video they post. And that can be extremely hard work. Hours of filming turns into hours of editing, which leads to each video taking about 9 hours to fully finish. But the filming and editing is not the only challenge. The amount of equipment needed to produce an adequate video is insane. From lighting, to cameras, to props, vloggers need to focus on every tiny detail to get a video perfect.

Zoella uses a Canon G7X Mark II to help her produce her fantastic, professional-looking videos, and now it is used by many other influencers and vloggers as well.

This video camera is light, and much less expensive than other cameras it's size, and it makes the hard task of vlogging just a little bit easier.

It is a preferred camera among influencers and vloggers, and one thing that they all appreciate is the low price, and high performance

Though a life of vlogging may seem hard, there are hundreds of people who have benefitted from it. Other than the money, vloggers enjoy what they do because of the amount of hearts they touch. At every meet and greet, and every convention, vloggers are able to experience the impact they have made on the world. There are thousands of screaming fans, and the influencers get to really see the good they have done behind the lenses of their Canon G7X Mark IIs.
