The RiverRun International Film Festival is a regional event based in Winston-Salem, NC and is one of the premier film festivals in the southeastern United States. The 20th annual RiverRun will be held April 19 – 29, 2018. RiverRun is a non-profit cultural organization dedicated to the role of cinema as a conduit of powerful ideas and diverse viewpoints. In addition to the Festival’s annual line-up of 150+ films, RiverRun also presents a broad range of special events, celebrity tributes, family programs, panel discussions and parties.

Join the Girls Who Code program at the Malloy Jordan East Winston Heritage Center every Saturday between April 14 and June 2 at 12:00 pm! Girls Who Code is a national non-profit working to close the gender gap in technology. GWC is for anyone — anybody can learn to code. Our club will focus the concepts of programming to build an app or website. To register for this program, please click here.

Presented by the Forsyth County Public Library and the Salem College Writing Center! Come see, create, and learn all about Zines, a handmade magazine or fan work! Students from Salem College will be on site to instruct children, teens, and adults in how they can make their own zines! Come to the library and create something! This event is FREE and open to everyone! There will be something for the whole family to enjoy!

*The 4:00 pm shuttle is the last pick up round for students. The shuttle returns to school by 5:00 pm.

Students may not take any other transportation that is not provided by the school.
