Duke DOWNS jackets, 28-14

Duke scored three touchdowns in less than two minutes at the end of the third period to break open a 7-7 contest and defeat Georgia Tech for the fourth time in the last five seasons with a 28-14 triumph at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.

A host of former Blue Devils were on hand to witness the victory including Zavier Carmichael, Bryon Fields Jr., DeVon Edwards, Deondre Singleton, Breon Borders & Quay Mann.

deon jackson led duke with 98 rushing yards on the afternoon and gave duke an early lead with a 12-yard touchdown run, his team-leading fifth rushing Td of the year.

In making the first start of his career, DE Chris Rumph II posted seven tackles, 4.0 TFL, 1.0 quarterback sack and one fumble recovery.
Duke's defense limited Georgia Tech to just 229 rushing yards -- well below its nation's-best average of 373.0 ground yards per game entering the weekend.
QB Daniel Jones completed 17-of-27 passes for 206 yards and three TDs while WR T.J. Rahming caught four passes for 91 yards and one score.

LB Joe Giles-Harris led the Blue Devils with a game-high 15 tackles, reaching double figures in the tackle column for the second time this season and the 12th time in his career.
With this 11-yard reception in the third quarter, WR T.J. Rahming became the fourth player in Duke history to reach the 200-catch plateau, joining Jamison Crowder, Conner Vernon and Donovan Varner.

On the final play of the third quarter, WR Johnathan Lloyd hauled in this six-yard scoring toss from QB Daniel Jones to extend Duke's lead to 28-7.
