Japanese Internment Andrew van oppen

Pros of Japanese Internment

A pro of putting the Japanese in internment camps would be that the chance of the Japanese spying on the US is reduced. I came upon this decision when it was stated in the second video. It would also reduce the chance of the Japanese retaliating from the US attacking their home country.

Cons of Japanese Internment

A con of putting the Japanese in internment camps would be it could reduce their support of the US when the war is over. The interment of the Japanese kinda hinders their rights which goes against the 14th amendment. I got this information from the fourth document.

My Opinion

I feel despite the fact that we hurt our relations with Japanese citizens the interment was needed. I feel like if we did not do this and there was an out lash it would be bad for everyone involved.
