One of sciences biggest achievments in 2016 was the creation of a small bacterium that had only 473 genes. the special thing about this Genome its the smallest free living genome . this genome was dubbed JCVI-syn 1.0.

then about a m0unth later JCVI-syn 3.0 making use of half of that genes from JVCI-syn 1.0. JVCI-syn3.0 is also the first genome cell created using the human design principles.
