Digital Photography Portfolio Emily Bourne

I decided to take this class because I wanted to learn more about how photos are created other than by a camera.

I learned about different angles of light. For example, the next picture was taken with bottom light which is a light that comes from below the face. It is used for a more spookier effect.

I also learned how to make a composition. In the photo before, I combined three different pictures with the lasso tool in Photoshop. The fence, trail, and water pump are all from different images. I also gray-scaled all of these photos individually by desaturation.

In this photo, The exposure value was in the negatives.

In Photoshop, I took at least three pictures with different exposure values to get a High Dynamic Range photo. It brought some shadows to light.

The first project taught me the most because I learned a lot about photography in general and equivalent exposures.

I'm most likely to try the Monarchs Project again, but maybe with a different word. I liked how I was able to create a word out of places in school.

Last but not least is my latest project. I chose to do a report on a famous photographer instead of a creative image.
