songs my enemy taught me a series of masterclasses aimed at returning voices to silenced women across the globe

silence was a song my enemy taught me

My new poetry collection Songs My Enemy Taught Me will be released on Out-Spoken Press in July 2017. Comprised of poetry, text messages, landais, letters and news flashes, Songs My Enemy Taught Me is a book of back-alley poetry and flick knife tales detailing woman’s struggle against sexual terrorism and colonisation world wide. Songs of independence. Songs of survival. Songs of uprising.

Thanks to the Arts Council I have funding to deliver a series of masterclasses with communities of women to help return and develop their voices. My website will host videos and texts written by the women at the sessions, and launch events will be held as part of the Songs My Enemy Taught Me book tour.
