Nike Goddess of victory

Nike is the winged goddess of victory in war and peaceful competition. When Zeus was gathering allies at the start of the Titan war, Styx brought her four children Nike(victory), Zelos (rivalry), Kratos (strength) and Bia (force) into Zeus' service. Nike was appointed his charioteer and she flew around battlefields , rewarding the worthy victors with glory and fame, symbolized by a wreath of laurel leaves
Nike is very encouraging, " she flew around battlefields, rewarding the worthy victors with glory and fame". Soldiers would be encouraged to win their battles because the would want to be rewarded by Nike. Nike seems very ambitious as well, " Nike is the winged goddess of victory". Becoming victorious takes ambition and Nike is the goddess of victory. Nike is also has courage, "she flew around battlefields". Nike had to fly over battlefields and that take courage because she could of gotten hurt.
The theme of this myth is that victory/ winning was very important to the ancient Greeks. Ancient Greeks liked to be rewarded with all the fame and glory, "Nike would reward the worthy victors with glory and fame".

Discussion: Nike is one of most famous/well known goddesses of Greek mythology
