David Livingstone By Alyssa Wade

He was born in Blantyre, Scotland at March 19, 1813. He died in Illala, Africa at May 1, 1873
His spouse was Mary Livingstone. Davids parents are Neil Livingstone and Agnes Hunter. He has a brother and two sisters. He also has two Daughters and three sons. He married his boss's daughter Mary Moffat
David Livingstone had an unusual Love for nature when he was younger. At ten years old he made his own living in the cotton mills while spending his evenings in night school.
David Livingstone pursued training in medication and missionary work before moving to Africa in 1841. He was a staunch abolitionist after witnessing the horrors of the american slave trade, and returned to the region twice after his initial voyage.
upon his return to England, Livingstone receives accolades and, in 1857, published Missionary Travels and Researches in South America. When he returned to England again he published Narrative of an Expedition to the Zambesi and its Tributaries.
In 1850, Royal Geographical Society awarded royal donation to David. In 1872, Gold Medal by Italian Geographical Society Was also given to him.
In 1844, after a lion attack shattered one of his arms, he returned to Kuruman to recuperate and there Moffat's eldest daughter, Mary, nursed him.
His first aim had been to bring Christainity to Africa; he died fighting to end the slave trade
