about the artist:

Carrie Newcomb Wright is the 2016 winner of Alliance Française de Washington DC's "Bubble Factory" graphic novel contest. She has also won The Phillips Collection's 2017 Toulouse-Lautrec Illustrates the Belle Époque competition. She has been featured in multiple Hen House DC art shows and the March 150 show at the Torpedo Factory in Old Town, Alexandria. She is currently in the process of creating a full-length graphic novel.

Wright also teaches English full-time outside of Washington, DC, where she lives with her unapologetically beautiful dogs. She believes in unwavering persistence, universal affection, and highly caffeinated substances.
