Look what we’ve grown! The Squirrel Lodge children have been busy planting and looking after our fruit and vegetables
The children filled the wheelbarrow with soil and emptied it into the planters.
The children and Mrs Salt took turns to plant the broad beans, peas, strawberries, chick peas and courgettes.
The plants were watered everyday by the children, they said that the plants “were bigger today”.
The children have spent the summer term feeding and caring for the plants. Our resident squirrels have been very cheeky eating all of the strawberries, we have had to feed them extra sunflower seeds to fill them up .
Once the fruit and vegetables were ready to pick some of the children tasted the peas, commenting “I really like them peas”.
