Office Presentations

Robert Bilek - MFS - February 27th

Steve Ehrens - Special Needs Planning-March 13th

Kevin Luchetta - March 27th

Takeaways From Kevin Luchetta's Presentation

  • The first two years compare to getting your MBA. You learn alot and don't make much money. It usually starts to click in your third year and you should start to make good money 100k+ (and you’re not 100k in debt w/ student loans).
  • It's not easy but worth it in the long-term. It’s not a sprint but a marathon.
  • Career vs. Job.
  • Make decisions like you’re a business owner, because you are.
  • Plan. Make personal, production, and education goals and review them regularly (daily/weekly).
  • Be humble. Let your actions do the talking.
  • View yourself as an advisor, not a salesman.
  • Educate yourself as much as possible (CFP/ChFC etc). It equalizes for not having that much experience.
  • Build different avenues of income early in career.

3rd Annual Ricci March Madness Lives Tournament

The Norwalk office makes up only 10% of the entire Seiden Agency but we own 37.5% of the remaining Elite 8 spots in the tournament!!!

  • Each week, two advisors will square off in a pre-paid submitted lives contest, using the data pulled from an FMI report.
  • Tie breakers: Premium will be the tie breaker. In the event there are no lives submitted by both competing parties, we will use the lives submitted in the previous week to compare and declare a winner. If this occurs in the first round, the more favorable seed will advance.

Matt Greene Minute

There is no magic in why I am successful, I work really hard. I can simplify my message into:

  • Work hard
  • Keep your foot on the accelerator at all times
  • Have belief and enthusiasm in what you do
  • Successful people stay successful by farming out all the work that they aren’t incredible at
  • We need to recognize front end activity/ granum points more than production
  • Thursday is the most important day of the week- because it is the stage setter for the upcoming week- if you aren’t 25 ahead on Thursday, you need to consider canceling any non FF or non Close in late Thursday and all day Friday to get to your AHEAD number
  • I see successful reps- whether its early in the morning or after 5pm- I see them around
  • Low Activity but successful = Lucky and luck can run out- don’t build a business on luck
  • The next step in the path to success is conducting and stick to THINK TIME
  • Prospecting is all about being observant, doing your homework and learning the industry you are in and the people you are meeting: don’t expect the 2nd year associate to refer you to the principal but rather to 4th year associates
  • Have multi-generational clients
  • Most unique problem for the wealth is “no time” and “no real plan” because they know they will be “okay”
  • We are the BOX for people doing the puzzle. You can’t complete a puzzle without the box

-Matt
