Artistic Collage

The inspiration for this piece was showing what I felt when I get paranoid. As someone that suffers from paranoia I find it incredibly hard to explain how I feel to people, so the idea behind this piece was to show people what I felt rather than tell. I chose to use stamps because I felt that it better portrayed the sluggish and foggy feeling that I get while I'm paranoid. I also chose darker colors with bright ones peeking through because eve though I feel creeped out or like I am in a dangerous place (like the woods at night) it's always the feeling of being watched that gets to me the most.

CD Cover

My inspiration for this piece was the simplicity of Joan Jett's style. Her music is simple and yet she is a legend in the rock world. I decided I would try to make something that was simple and straight forward much like Joan Jett's music. I chose the colors black, red, and white because they contrasted the most. I thought that the solid black on white made the CD easy to read while the red splatter kept the CD from looking boring.
