We made it to our LAST GRADING PERIOD!!! As we kick off our 4th quarter, here are a few things to keep in mind:
We are wrapping up the last of our Data Analysis & Financial Literacy units and will soon begin STAAR review. It is SO IMPORTANT for your child to give their best effort in this last push before testing. We will be reviewing the big skills that we've struggled on this year and reviewing everything your child has learned this year (and BOY have they learned a lot!!!) Please make sure that your child is attending tutorials if they need any help on homework or test corrections. These are great ways to review these skills they will need for their STAAR test.
- A weekly text/email from your child updating you of their working average in math for the week.
- Homework – generally assigned every night, I will send out reminders on nights they have homework using the “Remind” app. If you are not enrolled for these reminders you can text @nbryan6 to the number 81010
- Test corrections are due by Friday the week following the test.
- If homework is not done during the week, your child should be calling you to inform you that they have until Friday to turn it in for a late grade.
- Check on your child’s current semester grade on TxConnect! Their fall and spring averages will need to average out to a 70 in order for them to pass math class for the year.
- If you are concerned or have a question about your child's grade, please contact Ms. Ryan for a conference.
- My tutorials schedule is as follows:Monday-Wednesday: 7:50-8:15, 3:30-4:00, Thursday: 3:30-4:00, and Friday: 7:50-8:15 (If I am not in my room due to a meeting or absence, students are to report to another 6th grade math teacher for that tutoring session!“She wasn’t there” is never an excuse. ☺ There are math teachers available for every tutoring session during the school week.)
