There's a certain Slant of light emily dickinson

summary

theres a certain slant of light, like in the winter afternoons. it is depressing like cathedral tunes.

like heavenly hurt it gives but there are no scars. only on the inside you can feel the difference.

no one can teach it and no one can dispair, you can only sent it, like feel it from experience.

when it comes everyone listens, people pause. when it goes people you understand.

cathedral tunes- suggests the sort of heaviness that comes with these tunes as well as the light.

heavenly hurt- effect of the light or tunes' heaviness and oppression is something that is internal and unable to be seen.
