Jeffrey Dahmer by: mason likens

The Life of a Serial Killer

Background. Jeffrey Dahmer was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 21, 1960, to parents, Lionel and Joyce Dahmer. He was described as an energetic and happy child until the age of 4, when surgery to fix a double hernia seemed to change him. He became increasingly withdrawn following the birth of his younger brother and the family's frequent moves. By his early teens, he was disengaged, tense and largely friendless.

What he did. Jeffrey Dahmer was an organized serial killer. He would seek men, mostly African-American at gay bars, malls, and bus stops. Then he would take them to his house promising sex or money and then get them drunk and when they were ready to leave he would kill them. After he had killed them he practiced necrophilia on their dead bodies. Then he dismembered their bodies and sometimes ate them.

What could police have done. Police could have recognized his patterns of where the victims were being taken from and what he was doing to them. I think that if investigators would have paid more attention to these things that were being repeated, they would have caught him quicker and saved some people's lives.

Tendencies. His tendencies included, African-American victims, meeting them at gay bars or bus stops, getting them drunk before killing them, having sex with victims dead body, and sometimes eating their body.
