Trey '19

"If you have a specific passion, a specific drive, there is someone on this campus that has the same passion."

At Albuquerque Academy, we have students who join us thinking they know what they want to do the rest of their lives. Some of these students continue down that path, while others dive into new passions they discover through a class, club, or sport.

Trey '19, who joined the Albuquerque Academy community as a sixth grader, admits he came to Academy because he wanted to play football. However, he quickly found his love for performance after he was cast in a leading role in the school musical Oliver.

“That started my artistic journey and led me down the path to pursue a bachelor in fine arts this next fall,” reflects Trey.

And Trey didn't leave the world of athletics entirely, he was a member of the state champion track and field team his freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years where he competed in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, 100 and 200 meter sprints, and long jump.
