Beyonce Giselle -Carter is a 35 year old singer (born September 4th, 1981). She married the rapper Jay-Z, and together they have a daughter called Blue Ivy Carter.

I look up to Beyonce becuase she stands up for herself, and she is against sexism and racism. In her songs she sings about women's rights, she tells us that black lives matter, and that everyone should be treated the same.

In her song "***Flawless", she sings about feminism, this is one of my favorite songs by her. In the middle of the song we hear the speech by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, called "We Should All Be Feminists". I think that becuase Beyonce chose to include this speech in her song, because she look up to Adichie herself. I definitely think she should.

Another of my favorite songs by Beyonce is "Pretty Hurts". The song is about pressure. The singer thinks that there is too much pressure on women to be beautiful, something I think counts for both women and men. In one of the verses in the song she sings: Blonder hair, flat chest. TV says, "Bigger is better." South beach, sugar free. Vogue says, "Thinner is better. I think she is trying to tell us that you can never be perfect, because not everyone has the same taste in "perfect". This means that even if you look good in one person's eyes, another one will maybe think you don't look good.
